Hi everyone,
October 26, 2009
Hi everyone, This is a friendly notification that the Freeport Action Team, working to prevent youth substance abuse in Freeport, Pownal & Durham, will be meeting on Wednesday, October 28th from 6:30-8:00pm in the Freeport Community Center (in the downstairs conference room). We will be meeting to plan for a panel discussion to be held in late November/early December around youth substance abuse prevention (including intervention & treatment, as well as new student survey data, if available). We’ll also share information about an exciting new initiative for local parents: small parent discussions (or “living room meetings”) around underage drinking. Lastly, we would love to hear from all of you as to what else you would like to work on in the community to prevent youth substance abuse. Please join us! If you can’t make it to the meeting, but would like to learn about other ways to get involved, please email or give me a call so we can discuss. I look forward to seeing you on the 28th. As always, thank you for your commitment to preventing youth substance abuse in our communities!
